Store Branding & Marketing Tools
As the Marketing Assistant for the Kirkwood Bookstore & EagleTech, part of my role involved updating
and maintaining company and vendor branding. When vendors such as HP, Apple, or MSI did not
provide branding materials for items sold at the campus store, I created them, adhering to the brand
guidelines and standards provided by the vendor. Examples of my work include designing custom mousepads
for every campus computer at the main Cedar Rapids and Iowa City campuses, updating 4x4 product cards
for the sales floor, and refreshing the bookstore logo before ordering new custom store bags.
Promotional Ads
Every month, I was responsible for creating promotional ads to fit various formats, including posters,
tabloids, TV screens around campus, and web banners. During peak seasons such as the fall semester
back-to-school period, Kirkwood employee discount weeks, the end-of-year Techapalooza party, and holiday promotions, I managed a higher volume of promotional material. For Apple and other high-profile brands, I collaborated directly with their company marketing teams to obtain approval before posting any of our media.
